easter-egg-hunt-Race '09

So, Blue and I are 34 and 27 respectively, and our mother STILL hides Easter eggs for us to hunt. Through the years it has evolved into more of a contest/RACE, due to our competitive nature. I honestly couldn't tell you when or why the started (more like "never ended"); but it's AWESOME! I highly recommend it if you think you are on the verge of getting old and boring. Happy Spring!

Blogger bitten twice shy, I'm back!

Greetings! I have decided make a come back. Aren't you excited!? (I think I'm only speaking to those 2 people that still see if I might have a new post up b/c I know most people have given up, including myself) I have all my blogs bottled up and ready to pop the blog top open again! Stay tuned for unbelievable posts.....well, at least frequent posts, which to me, IS unbelievable. Judd, this one goes out to you. Sorry I am still trying to figure out HOW to flip the video...

Tamal-wiis!

Well today is my last day of "vacation". I had a blast the last 2 1/2 weeks. Got to see some awesome basketball (go hogs!), hung out with the greatest friends I could ask for, drank lots of wine, wii'd, had tamale's, had Christmas, New Years, saw my family, and chilled with jay. "Foot Loose" & Fancy Best Friends

The day before the best day of fall I have been able to capture in a while, one of my closest friends, Andrea, got married on November 1, 2008. I was lucky enough to be a part of it, along with 5 other great friends/sister (Crandall, Lauren, Emily, Kendall and Brook). I had SUCH a good time during the whole planning and the actual day. It is so nice to be a part of a wedding where you can really tell and feel that the couple is in love and meant for each other. I've never seen Andrea happier or more beautiful than she was on that day! Thanks for letting me be a part of this day with you, Andrea. You did a great job planning; I know you worked very hard on it. Def' props. Here are a few pictures of the event. I am planning on posting about the night before, but I am waiting on my brother to "find some cord"...so more to come.

Sunday Cruising Ozark Falling Bluegrass

After a very long, tiring, somewhat fuzzy and oh-so-much fun weekend; we went out for a drive on Sunday to catch the fall colors before they disappear. I dont think the weekend could have had better weather! Everything seemed to be almost neon; did anyone else think that? Here are a few snaps that I took and a link to some others if you are interested. I dont think the pictures do the view much justice, but for those of you that dont live here anymore, these are for you. Andrea's wedding was this weekend, so I'll be posting some of those pictures soon. My feet still hurt from Saturday, but all worth it b/c we had such a blast.

Ode to: Skyline Sunsets & "the crane"

Happy Halloween Eve!

I had always wanted to live up on Mount Sequoyah for as long as I could remember. In July of 2007 Jay and I finally got the opportunity to rent a house that not only was on the top of the Mountain, but faced the west! However, 1 year was about how long it lasted. As with all great things you want, there are always the negatives, which are not worth mentioning for all purposes of this sentimental post. The deck was where we spent most of our time and I even kind of grew fond of the big crane because when I would look at the pictures in the future, I knew where I was and it made it part of our story.

This time of year makes me miss it a little more than usual.
