Ode to: Skyline Sunsets & "the crane"

Happy Halloween Eve!
I had always wanted to live up on Mount Sequoyah for as long as I could remember. In July of 2007 Jay and I finally got the opportunity to rent a house that not only was on the top of the Mountain, but faced the west! However, 1 year was about how long it lasted. As with all great things you want, there are always the negatives, which are not worth mentioning for all purposes of this sentimental post. The deck was where we spent most of our time and I even kind of grew fond of the big crane because when I would look at the pictures in the future, I knew where I was and it made it part of our story.

This time of year makes me miss it a little more than usual.
Here is my ode to 111 Skyline Sunsets and the infamous Crane:

Friendly Remodels

Hello friends and other people. So I did it. I jumped on the blogspot bandwagon. I guess since Andrea and Emily had my "blank blog" on thier blog list, I best put at least something on it. Well, as you may, or may not know, Jay and I just bought a house over on the west side of Fayetteville. We've been there for about 2.5 months now and did a little remodeling. Here is a link to a short video for some before and afters. Enjoi!
